It’s worth remembering that sometimes things that seem immediately more sustainable might not be in reality depending on where you are. For example, arriving to the wedding on horseback might be romantic and may also seem more sustainable, but if you don’t live near any stables and the horse is transported by road then it’s probably going to consume more carbon than just going by car in the first place.
